How Virtual Production Differs from Traditional Filmmaking
Traditional filmmaking follows a linear process—from pre-production (concept & planning) to production (shooting) and post-production (editing, color grading, and VFX). Since the final look isn’t visible until the last stages, making changes is costly and time-consuming, often requiring reshoots.
In contrast, virtual production eliminates these limitations, allowing directors, cinematographers, and producers to preview the final visual outcome much earlier in the process. This enables real-time creative decisions, faster iterations, and greater cost efficiency, leading to better storytelling while saving time and resources.
